Mum and Baby Yoga FAQs
What is the cost? The 4 class pack is 60euros. Drop-in is 18euros.
What age should the baby be? Mum and baby yoga is suitable any time from six weeks after birth, or ten to twelve weeks if you have had a c-section. You can attend with your baby up to around 6 months, and sometimes up to 8 months or so - this really depends on how mobile your baby is (when they begin crawling) and how happy he/she is to be in the class.
Should I feed the baby before the class? It's best to stick to your baby's routine. You can do whatever is most convenient for you - feed beforehand, afterwards or during the class at any time. The pace and content of the class is dictated by the mood and humour of the babies - you can stop at any time, feed, walk around the room with your little one or do whatever you need to do to make them or yourself comfortable.
Do I bring my own yoga mat? I always have two or three spare mats with me, for anyone who has forgotten theirs or not yet purchased one, but it is a better idea to have your own, expecially when practicing with a baby, so I ask people to bring them along if at all possible.
What else should I bring? Wear comfortable clothes and bring anything you think your baby might need during the class - your baby's own blanket, a toy he or she likes to hold/look at. If your baby is asleep when you arrive or due a nap, you can bring the baby's car seat into the class and use that as a safe resting place for baby while you practice.
